And after being rewarded with an Ireland call-up for the autumn internationals, the 24-year-old will be thrown straight into the starting line-up against Samoa.
As an Ireland veteran with 46 caps full-back Kearney is at the other end of the international spectrum - and wants to make sure his club mate's RaboDirect PRO12 form carries over to his country.
"It'll be daunting in some respects but it's a hugely exciting time for Jack too, he's played extremely well over the last few months," said Kearney.
"It's a great occasion for him. He's been one of Leinster's best players, and if he can just continue that form into this week then I'm sure he'll come out on top.
"But I think the other guys have a responsibility to drag him along and make sure he enjoys this day for the right reasons."
