Glasgow Warriors have won only one of their last five season openers: 12-6 at the Dragons this time last year. The Warriors finished off their last campaign with a 30-9 victory at home to Connacht.

Munster themselves have begun their campaign with a victory in three of the past four seasons. The Irishmen won all four games against the Scottish Pro-Teams last season.

Glasgow's only victory in their last five encounters with Munster was 21-18 at Musgrave Park in May 2008.
